He graduated from Ryerson University in 2004 with a Certificate in Accounting Finance.  He obtained his formal training through Ryerson and the Certified General Accountants of Ontario.

With new clients, Ralston’s practice is to review their prior year files to ensure nothing has been missed and that their tax filing is current with Canada Revenue Agency.  Often, Ralston is successful in finding tax credits the client was unaware of, which has put more money into their pockets.

Bonnie Evans joined Ralston in April 2017.  She recently graduated from a  two-year Paralegal and Law Clerk Dual Diploma Program at Fleming College.

Before pursuing studies at Fleming College, Bonnie worked with two law firms as a Legal Assistant: Borden Ladner Gervais, in  Toronto, and Stewart Mckelvey, in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Bonnie has over 20 years of experience in office administration, event planning and customer service.  Bonnie has volunteered her services as a Photographer and Assistant Multimedia Coordinator with various organizations in Ontario and Nova Scotia.

She has served as Entertainment Co-Chair with the Canadian Cancer Society’s Relay for Life, and with Community Justice Society as a Mediation Facilitator with the Restorative Justice Program in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Bonnie is a business and community minded individual who loves a challenge and is great at multi-tasking.  She is a visionary and a leader with broad experience in administrative management, event planning and prioritizing expectations.  She has a professional attitude and approach, attentive and knowledgeable with a strong desire to learn and grow.

Personal Tax

Personal Tax

Meeting the filing needs and requirements of the everyday person and non-incorporated business (partnership and proprietorship).  Our tax preparation service is thorough and efficient.

Our services are for those who like the peace of mind in knowing that a professional has prepared and advised them of any advantages and pitfalls that can be seen by their individual and family tax and financial situation.

It’s a very personal service because your finances are very personal.  You will not be treated like a number because we care about your details.

Any bookkeeping required for the self-employed individual will be done as part of your tax preparation package.

To the unincorporated business owners:  We specialize in mess; so don’t be embarrassed in your first few years.  We will get you on the right track to efficient recordkeeping.  To the slow tax filer:  CRA is on your back?  Unfiled returns for several years?  It may not be as bad as you think.  Let’s assess the situation together.

Consultation and Corporations

Consultation and Corporations

Talk to us before you get involved in a transaction or before you get so frustrated with the information that a government agency had requested.  You’d like to do your own bookkeeping but don’t know how to use the bookkeeping software?  You’re planning to sell a rental property?  There are several life and business events that we can help in guiding you in the right direction.

We will help meet the filing needs and requirements of our incorporated clients, especially the small business owners.

We will advise on tips to minimize tax.  We will also advise on pitfalls to avoid.

As part of our service to the corporation, we will also prepare financial statements, which includes a snapshot of the corporation’s assets and liabilities at year-end; as well as a statement of net income complete with revenue and expenses.

Bookkeeping and Government Filings

Bookkeeping and Government Filings

We provide a monthly, quarterly and annual service to you, all tailored to meet your specific needs.

The service is ideal for both the unincorporated and incorporated client.

Files and records are dropped off by you (including courier and postal services) and we record transactions according to correct accounting and tax requirements.

If you are registered for GST/HST, you will find this service most invaluable.

Please take advantage of our monthly, quarterly and annual management reports, which will allow you to have an informed look at where your business stands.

Along with our monthly bookkeeping package, we include all your required government filings such as WSIB, GST/HST and Payroll.

We will also provide you with full assistance for any other government filings required during the life cycle of your business.

What’s new:

We have relocated our office, where we provide accounting and tax services, to a downtown office.  Our new location is on the 2nd floor at 1 William Street South, Suite 7, in Lindsay – across from TD Canada, one parking lot away from where we were located last year.

For my current and new clients that ‘can’t do stairs’, we will visit you at a more accessible location.  Give us a call at (705) 320-7964 or drop us an email at revans@ralstonevans.ca.  We look forward to hearing from you.
